Attended NAU and finished at U of A (BS-Finance) Went to work with some local developers – E.C.Garcia, Ron Schwabe, David Freshwater…then non-conformingly jumped from finance to Skateboards- Developed and operated Down Under Sports in Tucson and Sierra Vista with my future wife Yvonne. (NBC White House Correspondent Savannah Guthrie once worked for us putting skateboards together.) Benefits of a large corporation looked pretty good after being a small business owner and having none. So I went to work with Allstate Insurance Company in 1990. (They dropped their benefits for agents in 1999) But Allstate has been a great place to be for 20 years. I still have some creative juices to develop and build and have been working with Steel ISO Shipping containers for the last 5 years modifying for storage and business use. Yvonne and I have been married for 21 years and have been blessed with two incredible children – Brianna (adopted at birth) is 13 and Kieran is 11. We enjoy traveling; Solana Beach and Ensenada in the summer are favorite spots.
Wicked, wicked Locker room towel fights (with all of that passion – you’d think we could transfer it to the field) All of the incredible parties, impersonating the U of A ski Club and renting out the Plaza International ballroom (with an open bar, Doug Ahee just looked 25). Sneaking into Dooley’s, Tucson was an incredible place to be in the late ‘70s. So many wonderful memories, I look back and wonder how I survived being so full of myself!
