I was a professional student studying art, science and engineering. I finally graduated in '89 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Joined the U.S. Coast Guard working as USCG Engineering Officer on Governors Island, NY and then onboard a 210-ft Coast Guard Cutter the "Dependable" patrolling the Caribbean for two years.
I've lived in Manhattan, NY; Panama City, FL, Galveston, TX and now in Albuquerque, NM. I got out in '93 and gave teaching a try in Tucson, and was teaching Math and Science at Palo Verde HS and Sahuaro HS.
Sold out to the establishment in '98 and took a job in Albuquerque, NM as a Mechanical Engineer for the U.S. government and have been working and living there ever since.
Still single and never married, it's weird 30 years just flew by like the blink of an eye. It's so cliche' but so eerily accurate.
I did bump into Charlotte Jones, our student body president, while backpacking at the bottom of the Grand Canyon about five years ago, kind of surreal, but a true story.
The four years at Rincon HS seemed to last forever in some good and not so good ways lol. I have fond memories of Miss Robbins our Latin teacher and Latin Club sponsor and Mr. Donald Rule our Chess Club sponsor and Math Teacher at Rincon. Mr. Mackey our track and cross country coach. I saw him at the Park Mall last Summer and he still looks great!
I truly appreciate what wonderful people our teachers at Rincon are and were and the lasting and positive impressions they left me and all of the other students who had the good fortune to know them. To all the teachers at Rincon HS, Thank You!!! especially those who sponsored any clubs/after school activities, my hats off to all of you : )!
