Went to the U of A and was majoring in Architecture, woke up one morning in my 3rd year and hated it. Played volleyball on the U of A men's club for several years. Liked Public Relations, Advertising & Marketing, so started school all over again. In the middle of that, my cousion got me interested in the sport of triathlon. After two IronMan races my knees said "No Mas" So i listened. Went to work for The El Tour de Tucson for a number of years and filled their need as their Public relations director. (Funny how a one day race takes a year of work)

Next I found myself missing the triathlon sport, so I opened Tri-Tech Sports, Tucson's first triathlon shop. In the middle of that I got married (Chris Donahue my Best Man) and was married for 14 years. (yes, divorced) That gave me two beautiful, wonderfull daughters - Haley (15) and Hannah (11) Haley is a freshman at Sahuaro and playing on the volleyball team there. Hannah is in 6th grade at St. Joseph's School and has me coaching the 6th grade volleyball team there along with her on the team. Those two I wouldn't trade for anything in the world... Five years of doing business with my store, I saw Big Box athletic and bicycle shops coming into town, as well as the internet. I figured it was time to get out, so I sold the business. Went back to school and became a Surgical Technician - focusing on OB/GYN and L&D. I wish I had a dollar for every child I helped deliver at TMC as I was there for 13 years.

Just this past June I found myself getting my resume back out and revamping it as TMC is now feeling the effects of the economy and shaving where ever it can. So that has prompted me to get my P90X DVD set out and get myself ready for this reunion. LOL yaaa, right!

As I was on FaceBook tonight (10-01-09) with Bob Deyo, we were chatting about this reunion. How fun it was and how it will compare to the past reunions. 10 year everyone was passing out business cards, yacking about cars, homes and their jobs. 20 year most everyone had kids and brought photo albums. Talked of travel and where kids might go to college at. (At that time I had a 5 YO little girl and a 2 YO little girl. I know, just getting started and the age of 39) And the 30 year Bob said ya, now we are just going to compare surgeries and ........ well, never mind.

My friendes of the Class of 79, I so look forward to seeing you and hearing of your life. You guys are great and I've never forgotten these memories you all helped create. SLAM 79

School Story

OMG! Which year? I guess Senior year is the best. The Sr. Trip, TP-ing the cheerleaders homes while they were at the game with over 300 rolls, Sr. ditch day, Doing the school, doing Catalina, basketball at the Kemmeries house, Peeling-out in the front of the Pam Shaffer's house. Doing donuts in the grass at Highland Vista Park. Cruzin Speedway with Mark C., Mark T., Duncan, Dan Ellias, Scott Samson, Loumeau, Chris Donahue, Jim Wells. Busting people making out at H.V. Park (and you know who you are) LOL. Way to many. Great memories... Love you all for them. Thanks...
