I remember Tobie in my freshman year. I think that was also the year she died due to toxic shock syndrome. A very pretty girl I havn't forgotten about.

Tobie actually died right after graduating college. I read about it in the newspaper. I knew her from elementary school and we took piano lessons from the same teacher, she was very nice. I think she was much better at the piano than I was!

Tobie lived behind me. She was always one of the sweetest people. Had such a good heart. The world is a little lonlier
without her.

I dated Tobie for awhile in Highschool. It was around the time I was playing football and she was cheerleading. What a wonderful and beautiful girl.

Right after highschool, she was with the same Modeling and Acting Agency that I was with, Plaza One Agency.

We actually did a modeling show together at the old "Ghost Ranch Lodge" in Tucson.

Later on when I was visiting from California, I received the sad news from Scott Castle and Bob Logan that Tobie had past away from Toxic Shock Syndrome.

I will never forget her.....

I stayed in touch with Tobie through her college days and was living in Georgia when she passed away. My mom didn't even tell me until after the funeral because I was pregnant and she didn't want me flying home and getting upset about it all .... but it was a situation way beyond upsetting. I stopped by Mr. and Mrs. LaVetter's home several years afterwards. They were always so kind to all of us high school friends who would come over after school and raid their refridgerator. We spent time talking and remembering Tobie but there was this meloncholy cloud over the whole house still even though it was years after Tobie had gone. I always wonder what could have been for her. She was always so much fun.

The monies that we had left over from our ten year reunion were given to Tobie's Parents. They put it the Tobie Lavetter scholarship fund that went to girls from Rincon to the U of A.
