Who Was Your Favorite Teacher(s)

I will always remember Mr. Donald Rule for his kindness, tremendous intelligence, laughter, terrific company, and great sense of humor.  He was a  Math Teacher, Chess Coach, at Rincon HS and a very dear friend; a veteran of WW_II "Battle of the Bulge"; he was there in the thick of it.  He passed away in 1993 and I'll always miss hiking with him. He's in a better place now and may he rest in peace.

Trust me to remember the silly things about Mr Rule, but does anyone else remember that he used to yodel in class all the time?

He was also the Drivers' Ed. instructor.  Does anyone remember Freaky Fridays when he used to let us drive the simulators and hit as many obstacles as possible. You know, see who could wrack up the most amount of points! What a hoot he was!

Those lessons are permanently embedded in my brain. All I can say is "Look left, look right, proceed with caution!"

With fond memories,

Mr. Rule was the greatest, but I also like to count Mr. Martin (English) as one of my favourite teachers too. (And I believe he is no longer with us either)

I remember he was soooo picky. He would mark our grade down if our speech was 5 minutes and 10 seconds. It had to be 5 minutes on the dot! And, you had to turn your papers in exactly as he wanted or he'd mark you off for having it upside down or some silly thing like that. Initially I hated him, but I grew to love him as time went on. And DARN IT, I actually did learn stuff in his class!

He was one of the few teachers I asked to sign my yearbook.

With fond memories,
